Just an update for anyone doing their research. I bought the car from EJ in the end.
It's not your typical car sales place. Its down a farm lane with a lot of crashed and old cars lying around. Esmond himself is very nice, cars he buys are mostly ex - rentals from the uk but he has a good eye for a decent car. As a result he can't offer any long term guarantees. I bought mine all the same and not a bother with it since ( I have it a year now). I suppose if your buying a reliable make, even if it has high mileage, you cant go too far wrong anyway.

lol. Surely if he has a good eye for a decent car, he would stand over it no?

There are quite a few dealers set up like this in N.I.

I bought a car from Ross Park Motors, it worked out well. I got the train to Belfast, was picked up at the station, I liked the car, and drove home.
