Swim may be cheapest, but not the most fun.

    I suggest giant slingshot.

A hang-glider will do the trick only after having 12 cans of Tuborg, you need acceleration from a power-source don't forget.

Someone mentioned Ryanair, you used to be able to get 1 cent flights to Stansted from Dublin, perhaps they still do these occasionally, it would cost more to travel to Dublin airport though oddly enough.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

Eurolines usually work out the cheapest, especially when you add the cost of travel afterwards.

You mod AH and you've genuinely never never heard the term west brit?

OP: travel by sea. Bring a horsebox & you can enter the truckers' lounge. West Brit style.

When we were kids we called this the Gattling Sling, if you had enough elastics you could sling anything as far as yer elastics would take you (normally only about 250 yards)

Get a job as a pilot and then you get paid to cross the Irish Sea.

Rosslare to Fishguard for €6 seemed like a bargain for half a second. But you've to get to Rosslare first. And it's only €6 on Tuesdays (it's €12 on other days). And it's for day trips only. And after 3.5 hours sailing, you only have 2 hours in Fishguard before the return 3.5 hour journey.

OP just wants to cross the Irish sea though. €6 on a Tuesday and they're across. They were selling them for €1 last week
