Named driver experience overlap axa?

Hi I was wondering if anyone else had this problem with axa I have 2 years named driver experience and 4 years no claims in my own right

They are saying they can't take into account one year of the named driver experience and want to lump me to pay an extra 160 euro

Now I looked on the website where I got my quote and there is no refference on the "qualifying criteria" no refference to overlap or anything and they never referenced this to me when I supplied my documentation

They will not send me out my certificate of insurance until this is sorted

I forgot to mention the overlap is about 4 months

Generally an NCD (no claims discount) is awarded for each a full year on a policy. Therefore if you took out your own policy with a different insurer then it's unlikely the preceding 8 months with your previous insurer's policy would be considered enough for a NCD.

How has cropped up, are you moving to AXA for the first time?

With AXA you reach your full 75% NCD after 5 years claim free. If you have 4 years in your own name and they're willing to recognise 1 year named driving then you've reached their max discount. I don't see how a 6th year would save you €160. Seems very odd. How many years claim free does your NCD Certificate say you have?

According to this AXA video they award an NCD for each "full year".

The problem is they are trying to roll me back to 70% ncd so they can get up on my back

I'll call into the office and grill them until I get what I want

My ncd is 4 years and 2 years as a named driver on my dad's farmer wagon
