Golf MK5 Canbus gateway Help

    Hey guys, iv got a 05 golf and i want to change the oem radio to a new vw oem radio, i have the new head unit, and all cables including the 2 into 1 antenna adaptor,

    I also bought a used canbus adaptor to stop the dreaded battery drain that can happen if you don't change the adaptor..

    I was wondering if any of you guys n gals know of a place in cork to copy the settings from my old canbus to the new one, using VCDS software..

    I swapped the units already to try it out but it set to a left hand drive model golf instead of right hand side.. which means the reverse lights and rear lights won't work and also light on the dash..

    Sorry for the long wall of text, i tried o'learys of lissarda but they tried but couldn't do it as they don't use VCDS.. and cost me 90 quid for the privilege..

    Where did you buy the new radio & adaptor? I'd try them first.

    it's not a radio issue unfortunately it's a known golf mk5 issue from VW..

    Besides i have a new Canbus gateway i just need a guy with VCDS software to copy settings from old canbus to the new one..

    Sound I can do it no problem but when is the problem I am in Kanturk area, what radio is it as the newer RNS don't drain the battery.

    The model is RCN210 and i should be free this sunday or next friday again, but whenever suits you really,
