Parcel Motel sensing a parcel

I am buying an item off adverts.ie and I am going to get the seller to ship the item through parcel motel.

I will be paying for the shipping. So it will cost €6.50 to ship it to my parcel motel locker, or €8.50 to ship it straight to my home address.

So my question is, if I get the item sent to my parcel motel locker, will I then be charged €3.95 for receiving the parcel? If this is the case it would make more sense for me to pay for it to be shipped straight to my address, as it works out cheaper

    Thanks,
    David

No you won't pay if he ships it from parcelmotel to parcelmotel.

Excellent, thank you for clearing that up

How do I ship from parcel motel to parcel motel. I want to do this but not sure how to go about it. The item is in Ireland and I want the seller to drop it to the local parcel motel depot and me to collect it from my local depot. Thanks,

The seller has to have a Parcel Motel account to do this unfortunately, you can't organise the delivery yourself - I ask PM about this before, enquiring could I organise the delivery, and send the details to the sender (they said no)

If you wanted to organise the delivery from Parcel Motel to Parcel Motel yourself. You could do this. Temporarily change your location to the senders local motel. Create and pay for the label on your account. Email the label to the sender, get them to drop it off, and then change your location back to your own local motel. I left my GHD in a friend's house in Cork and this is how I got it back to Dublin for €4.50.

Guys - is parcel motel down to the last hour in terms of 48 hours - I just got a notification this am that there's a parcel ready for collection - however I wont be able to get to it until monday morning at maybe 11 am
    - So "stored at 6 am" - do I need to be there at 6am on Monday to collect it - or do I get hit with an additional charge after that

Sorry for the basic question however I thought it would be based on working days - not weekends.

Yeah they are pretty strict on that, It depends when the driver gets to that particular PM, if you haven't picked it up by the time he makes the deliveries in monday morning, he'll take it back to the depot to be re-dispatched. it generally adds 2 or 3 days
