My family and I are looking for a cheap ski resort near Manhattan(within 4 hour drive). My parents don't ski so there would need to be a spa or other activities. We want to go for three days just after Christmas this year, any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is in the wrong area but try the Catskills or Hudson Valley. Catskill Mountains in New York is really lovely and lots of activities to do.

Killington isn't too far from NYC - http://www.killington.com/site/index.html

As the biggest ski resort in the East, it has plenty to do for non-skiers.

Here's a handy interactive map with links to all the resorts in the Northeast - http://www.onthesnow.com/northeast/map.html
