It's around a lake that nobody accesses and it's marshland around with stacks of long twisted grass....which improves as you go out from the lake until dryer bog. You can see that loads of birds have been nesting in the grass particularly this week or today more so than anything. I wasn't out yesterday because of the rain.

There are swans and ducks on the lake and a dog and cat visitor and myself and my dog. Robins, the pheasants have been here for a while - not sure which one it is though.

I am just after hearing the sound of something new there now regarding birds.

Does anyone else know places like these?

    Thanks.

Sounds like a lovely spot alright - I'm sure there are plenty of examples of similar habitat on the back roads of the midlands and counties in the west. I'm sure it'll get more and more interesting and active as the breeding season goes on too!
