Not meaning to be smart, but that's a rock and a hard place. There are many better ways of spending 19k

5 year warranty on the Fluence, they can't be that bad.
You wouldn't get many other 1 year old saloons near that price?

Depends what you value more, the car or the warranty.

Quite difficult to compare the two, tbh. They're both Renaults with identical engines but one is a car and the other is a jeep (yes yes I know, it's not a Nissan patrol but I'm afraid they simply out class any crossover off road. They just do.)

    The Fluence 1.5dCi

More efficient, More refined on the road. Quieter inside at high speeds, good quality feel interior. Better toys, better ventilation (dual zone climate control in higher spec)
Surprisingly though, it feels less powerful than the Duster. Might be the gearing.
Did 60mpg on the motorway @120(+)

    Duster 1.5dCi

As mentioned feels more powerful. Same radio connectivity as the fluence, You won't be bursting any tyres on our roads. Its naturally got a higher centre of gravity though the 4wd model sports independent rear suspension and manages it well. Interior is more spartan. Basic Air con is standard iirc. Would be cheaper to maintain too.
Did 55 mpg at a big motorway spin @ 120(+)

Personall, I'd get the Duster but that's just me :o
