Donedeal dairy cattle

The dairy cattle section is flooded with dairy products which can be fairly annoying when scrolling through pages to see a few cattle  Other farming is the place for all that rubbish not the livestock section. Must be annoying for livestock sellers also as their ads disappear down the pages too fast.

The whole website is a pain in the hole, people putting in search key words so their ad shows up when you are searching for something else.

It's gone to the dogs alright, it could be it's downfall.

Ifj is the only place to advertise cattle IMV.

If I'm buying its my port of call. The genuine ads on Dinedeal are lost among messers and dealers

go into "all farming" and put in the key search word

A bigger issue is adds that have no price and items that are sold that are still on the website

anything iv put on donedeal iv sold. if used properly is a great way to get your ad viewed. suppose with the journal if your looking for something it's in the one column and the ads are scattered around the pages so you don't notice them as much. advertiser's like donedeal as it's cheaper.
most of the ads in the journal wouldn't have prices up either

Ya the top link website is very scattered I find. So is the journal a bit. Could be made easier to follow.

Report the add for being in the wrong section and they'll move it. It takes two seconds. If more done it they might start to cop on a bit.

If you have someone who have a misspelling word then you would miss there add though. Some people like having the chat hence leaving their ad up also.

find the toplink website very hard to read, if the ads where all on the same level it would help

I'm a big fan of donedeal.

Some of the ads are brutal.

E.G. No photo - FR Heifers in calf - no price! Do people ring these guys?

I'd put up photo but never price. Cannot understand the need. If price that important business could be done over phone.

If I'm buying I'll never ask price, will look and then put my value on them if they're suitable

We never give price on phone and always sell. This cuts out the tyre kickers. We never entertain some one who wants to call on Sunday, cause they are so busy. You only get a family arriving out for a drive usually with grandparent or 2 in tow

Never put jersey bulls on donedeal

I agree with you in a way details - first, photos - second, price - third. Some lads put up prices that are that off the wall I wouldn't even ring them.

    +1 WITH THAT.
I will also add to that, the fools who ring up telling you, their on the way, in the jeep and have yet to call....... still driving . What f...k planet are these guys from. Many are genuine but there is as much more fools out there.

Plenty wasters selling as well, if I'm goiing to drive half way across the country I'd want some idea of the expected price. I find that most people that have a top secret price always have some crazy value on what they are selling.

You would hardly drive half way across the country without first ringing the seller to see if they were going to be there (upon your arrival) and during the conversation suss out quality, price etc.
I have sold stock over the years on Donedeal and never quote a price on the ad. You get lots of phonecalls from assholes criticising, demeaning your stock and lots of calls from fellas who are going to be there at 8am in the morning but never show.
It is all part and parcel of selling privately.
If you don't want to sell or buy in such an enviornment then go to a cattle mart and poll the dealers, or a specialist sale and compete with everyone else looking for the same stock and poll the aforementioned dealers.
A simple genuine phone call can weed out the good from the bad and vice versa if you are the seller.

Whatever about not putting up a price I had a guy who wouldn't give me a price over the phone
I'm not going to spend half a day driving to see something that I might not be happy with the price .
I can see what it looks like from the photos.

Why would I go to the seller without first ringing, it would be tricky to find his place. I was referring to people that don't reveal their price until you arrive at their yard. Not every seller is like that so no need for the mart.
