RTE1+1 gone ?

    I'm probably posting this in the wrong forum, but anyways :)

    I was going to watch the Mentalist in 15 minutes on RTE1+1 but the channel seems to have disappeared on my Saorview. When I press channel "8" where the channel used to be, the screen is blank and the info says " This Channel is now available on EPG 11 " - but if you go to Channel 11, there's nothing there but a "Test Transmission".

    Anyone have any ideas where I might find it or find this "EPG 11" channel ?

    You might need to do a re-scan. I think some channels were jigged around lately. I had to do mine last week.

    I've messaged a few mates in different parts of the country and they are getting the same thing, but sure we'll give the rescan a try as well ;)

    I know for some shows they do not repeat them on the RTÉ+1 because of additional broadcast costs related to the contracts signed for the shows pre the existance of +1. Fair City was like this initially, was only broadcast on RTÉ1.

    The Mentalist is coming through here on EPG 11. I'm on Truskmore. It may be a problem from OP's transmitter.

    Its coming up for me as Channel 11 on Saorview.

    The channel listings on Saorview that I have go 1-7 then there is a channel 8 that's blank and then RTE+1 as Channel 11.

    There must be something wrong soemwhere alright :) Ah I'll just watch it on the RTE player tomorrow instead. Cheers for all the help :D

    @Atlantic Dawn - I always used to watch the Mentalist on +1 on a tuesday because I watch Revenge on RTE2 which clashes with it, so to this point, there was never previously an issue :pac:

    I'm in Athlone myself and I have other people around the midlands with the same issue. Ah, not to worry. It's the only show I need it for anyways :)

    If you can see RTÉ One you'll also get RTÉ1+1 on channel/epg/LCN 11 after a retune. RTÉjr and UTV Ireland are carried on the same frequency/multiplex.
