A watch can be a very personal sort of choice to make for someone else, does he wear a watch? A few on here have recommended http://www.yorkshirewatches.co.uk/
but sterling is a bit steep atm.
Creation watches are worth a look too, but import duties can be payable.

Spend a bit more time looking around on here too.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

I second that.

To someone on a watch forum, a "nice" watch is relative.

Few questions need to be answered before further help can be given:

-is he into watches? if so, back away, he will know what he wants and unless you get him exactly that, whatever you get will probably be disappointing to him.

-is he into automatics or not care group in which case quartz is prob better?
-does he have a preference for a metal bracelet or leather strap?
-does he have any watches currently and if so what are they?
-is he a big chap or smaller guy? im a slight chap and a 45mm+ twisted steel would look ridiculously massive on my arm.
-is the watch just for the wedding or will it be worn in other situations like when out fixing the car etc?

Lots of Tommy H and Armani on here for €200.

Personally, I'd avoid.

I've selected Seiko - there are 31 of them - couple of nice chrono's there (3 dials, pushers etc), as well as a couple of Kinetics and solar-powered.

Seiko make superb watches, and the quality is excellent. Not so sure about the fashion brands...?
