I need to work while on holidays abroad over Easter so need to lug a laptop with me. I am self employed and normally work from my workstation in my office so this is a stop gap solution for this trip.

So cheap and very light are key needs and must be Windows 8.1 (or 7).

Most of what I do is thin client so CPU/memory/disk not that important but need a decent size screen. Optical drives, camera, etc.. I do not care about.

I need to order and have by mid next week.

Who can tell me what to buy. Again cheap and light and decent size screen are most import features as will rarely get used outside of these type of trips.

    Thanks!

Very good price for a basic laptop, that's light too!

Thank you Alanstrainor - that's perfect. Just ordered it and was only €2 shipping. Hopefully gets to me before I head out of town!

Laptop arrived today and am delighted with it and especially happy with its weight as it is so light.

    Thanks again.

Great to hear! You might post back in a week after some real life usage. It was a great price for it!

perfect - typing this from it while looking out onto the Mediterranean. Perfect for what I needed. Battery life is not great but that fine as I wanted it light. Sucks working on holidays but had to be done.
