How to pay customs

I have a new arrival scheduled for delivery tomorrow.
It has been released from customs but im not overly confident there wont be a fee on delivery.

How do customs usually accept payment, do i need to have cash for the delivery guy or will they accept debit credit cards?

I asked fedex but they couldnt tell me!

nevermind, it got delivered early and the issue of excess never came up!

Customs wouldn't have handed it over if there was payment due - which country was it purchased from?

Standard practice for FedEx to bill later. I actually hate using them because they automatically declare the value so they can collect what they call a handling for paying in advance on your behalf. They make it sound like they are doing you a favour.

FedEx take a while some times I got one the other day from a late February import. If there was duty/vat paid you'll be getting the bill!

i got two watches this morning through DHL and they asked for the payment before handing over the parcel

Thinking of buying from this lot. They said they package as parcel and mark as gift worth $30. Anyone else had dealing with them before?

Chrono24 as a site is great. regarding any issues with actually purchasing and dealing with problems once you receive a watch, it really depends on the seller. its a global market place for new and 2nd hand watches.

Could ask the same question about ebay and get roughly the same answer.

But you'd probably have a lot more protection as a buyer on eBay. Don't know what Chrono24's trusted checkout is like though.
