Hey Kevin, don't want to go OT but any shots of Turkey and will you be updating your blog, kinda thinking of a golf holiday next Feb/March so open to ideas...

Here you go Slave1 - images from all the courses outside Antalya.

For anyone else interested in golf in Turkey, here are a few things to note:
    • The courses are excellent
    • Oct-May is peak season
    • Hotels are plentiful (but be sure to stay at a 'golf' hotel or you may not get tee times - each course tends to have at least one hotel as part of the resort)
    • Golf packages are half-board or full-board, so ALL of your food and drink is included in the price
    • Golf packages include transport to and from hotels/courses
    • It's all packed tightly together (288 holes and 14km east to west), with only Lykia Links out on its own (half an hour away)
    • Clubhouses are luxurious - no slumming it here
    • Turkish Airlines don't charge for golf clubs
    • Euro accepted almost everywhere and English spoken and printed almost everywhere, too

    On the downside
    • You'll need two flights to reach Antalya (Dublin to Istanbul is 4.5 hours, Istanbul to Antalya is just over an hour)
    • Other than the golf and the huge hotels there's very little to do
    • You'd be amazed at how popular the place is, so don't expect speedy rounds
    • Green fees aren't cheap - even though you won't pay rack rate (€100 +), expect to pay the equivalent of €70-€90 through your tour operator

But, all in all, it's smashing golf and highly recommended. Plus you can play night golf.
