3u Case Blank Canvas

    Just got my hands on a 3u case I was going to transfer low powered hardware into it and use it as a NAS but ... wouldn't mind beefing it up and having some virtual machines running on it also for messing around / testing.

    The case has 6 slots which I would like to have 4 x 3TB HDDs in Raid, and 2 3TB HDDs as backup (dont need everything backed up.

    Case has a 700W PSU Any recommendation on the rest?

    Mostly hardware thats second hand so need

    Motherboard
    CPU x2 (preferably)+ Cooling
    Raid Card (supports teaming)
    RAM I guess can be got handy enough

    Any ideas? was looking at AMD possibly due to the prices.

    Would I be able to amalgamate my gaming rig into this and run it off server hardware?
