I am looking to put glass sliding doors on the back of the house (4.2mx2.1m) I don't really like the look of pvc and I am looking at keeping costs down. What are my options? And the pros/cons also who are the best suppliers in Dublin?

Either get used to the higher costs or live with PVC.

The key to this is the quality of the sliding gear to take the weight of decent sliding doors

4.2 is not wide, assuming you want the doors to slide back each side, allowing for frames etc , how about two decent hinged doors hung out near the front face of the ope and open back.

Well I was considering wooden sliding doors from -snip- which look good and are a bit less than the alu clad ones. Does anyone have any opinions on them? Or even good suppliers of them?
