Thinking about investing in a Zetor 5430. I have an mf35 at the moment which is really too small for the work I do with it. I only have a small farm with a few sheep on it so I only need it for topping spraying etc and a bit of bog work. Does anyone have any experience with these? Good tractor or stay away?
I had this post up in 4x4 tractors and diggers but was told that people here might know a bit more about it. Any advice is appreciated...thank you.

I sure you have some Lads that love there John Deers and massy's a bit too much will be on and say stay away. We had zetors all our lives and i find them a simple tractor.

There a simple tractor that does not have bells or whistles but they are simple to fix , less to go wrong and parts are cheaper. they are also a great tractor to pull

auld lad a few years ago gave up smoking and bought a zetor 6911. throughtout the 2 winters she always started on the button. He only used it for tipping to the bog for 2 days a year.

    well able to pull a 14ft x 8 trailer

Thanks people. I have yet to hear anything wrong with them. The ones I have looked at do come across as basic, but I am not looking for all the bells and whistles, electronics etc.

We have a '93 5211 Zetor. Given very little bother since we bought it back in 00'
Brakes could be better on it these days though.....

Does what we need it for, minded it well and the most hassle it gets was cattle going up our steep hills or being bogged drawing turf. A no nonsense, no frills tractor.

OP sorry for jumping in here, Kovu, does the 5211 handle a fusion round bale ok? Had half a notion to buy one as a handy tractor around the place, better cab etc when compared to our MF 35, which can't handle a round bale.

I'm afraid you have me stuck there. I know the wet year we couldn't use it as it was just lifting itself. However we've used it since with very little hassle bar having to reverse up a couple of steep hills with bales. It's all contractor work here, just don't know what balers they used the last couple of years! I'll find out for you tomorrow :)

Just to confirm that yes indeed it can handle fusion bales. And as ours are all chopped they're also heavier than normal. So make of that what you will :)

Jump away. All I have at the moment is a 35 also!
