    Hi,

    The week that's in it, the cost of all places was Sky high, but we managed to get 5* Sheraton in Brussels and flights for 220 each for 3 nights. We go on Monday 30th.


    Just wondering if Brussels is a good spot?

    And what sort of things are there to do?

    I've seen on another thread to head up to Bruges on a day trip. Is this worth it?

    I appreciate any help. Both myself and herself are somewhat reserved about it as we never heard of anyone who's been to Brussels so have no feedback to go off.

    Grand place (grote markt) is worth 2 visits, once by day, and once in the evening.
    the Parc de Bruxelle is worth a visit if it's nice, for people watching, etc
    similarly, parc du cinquantenaire is a nice stroll
    Atomium is worthy of a trip
    EU Parliament is worth an look, or even a tour if you can.
    Galeries St Hubert near the Grand Place, is a nice shopping mall, very old.
