New Lawn - how much to rollout

I put a new lawn down (seed) last year and it is full of patches and very light (actually bad landscaper did it). It mucky. Im wondering if rolling out turf would be better solution and would I need to dig up existing lawn (50sq/m) - how much would I be looking at.
