Unable to see UPC wireless network on any device

    Hi all,

I am having some issues with my UPC router. Basically it doesn't seem to be broadcasting any wireless signal. Or at the very least I can't see it on any of my devices. Similar to problem outlined here

This all started when I hooked up one of these TP link powerline extenders to it and continued when it was unplugged again.

The extender works perfectly, broadcasting wireless etc. and I can connect to the internet as you would expect. I can also plug my laptop into the router which is the Technicolor TC7200 and the internet works perfectly. I can log in to 192.168.0.1 and I have experimented with a couple of things in there - basically turning things off and on again.

So far no luck. I tried everything outlined in the UPC guide in the first link and have had no luck. Any ideas?

    Thank,
    Chris

Did you use the WPS clone feature so that the TPs mimick the UPC said? If so I'd wager that you've accidentally disabled WiFi in doing so. Hold the same button for around 10 seconds(to be sure).

Also check if the TC is broadcasting on ch12 or 13, not all devices are compatible with the top two bands.

    Thanks for the reply,

I had a spare UPC router so I just used that and it's working fine so problem basically solved.

FYI though, I did try the WPS clone feature and yes I you are right I disable Wifi. I re-enabled it via the same button, and by logging in to the router settings. The light indicating Wifi comes on however it still didn't solve the problem.
