    Hi guys,

Does anyone know if the 4ife FTA receiver is compatible with a SCR system? That is, a fibre optic unicable setup....I've scanned for channels for it isn't picking anything up

    Thanks

Are you sure SCR is involved? Fibre can carry all the satellite channels stacked together, SCR would only be used on coaxial cable parts of the system.

Yeah it's SCR as the Fibre Optic cable is going through a FibreIRS.STU box...out of that is the coaxial cable which I've plugged into the back of the receiver..I've scanned for channels but absolutely no joy. I've read in other forums that Sky boxes need to be modified at the LNB settings level for SCR compatibility.

SCR is for feeding multiple receivers over a single coaxial cable.

How many TV points are connected to the fibre-fed unit? What's the make & model no. of this unit?

In any case, I don't know about SCR capability of this receiver but, I'd try the 'antenna type' section of the menu, & setup should just involve selecting the relevant user channel.
