    Hi,

I'm out a rural area of the country where 'highspeed BB' is a dream rather than an option. so currently we have Sky Digital TV, with a second box for multiroom viewing.

We are considering moving away from sky but arent sure what our options are.

I've noticed UPC, but unless I'm reading it wrong they seem to offer 'cable tv'.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

In Rural Areas, UPC have no broadband options and there tv system is known as MMDS....it is an old system amazed it still exsists, tv channel lineup on it is very poor, picture quality is nowhere near as good as sky. There is no recordable boxes as far as I know..

Personally I would not ditch sky for Upc MMDS...

Any other options as replacements for sky?

    Not for pay TV.

Freesat combined with Saorview is a free TV option - http://www.tvchannellists.com/List_of_channels_on_Freesat_(UK)

Have you got fixed line broadband? It doesn't need to be super fast (3mb would be fine) just stable with ping speeds under 80ms.
