I was contacting a few websites in Ireland to ask how much it will cost to paint frontbumper, sideskirts and rear bumper in black.

they are new unpainted, they quoted me 2k for it, I asked the same question in Holland and I can get it done for less than 500 or around 1000 for complete car repaint.

why so expensive here? or am I just contacting the wrong places?

€1k for a complete respray? I may catch the ferry to holland :D Sounds like you'd be better off getting it done there. If you want a quality job here it's costly, I'd say you'd pay no less than €1k for that work. Full respray in Ireland could range from €3-6000 depending on the car and where you go.

There's a lad in Walkinstown that will do a full respray for a grand as long as you're not changing colour.
AFAIK another boardsie goz83 has used him, so you could drop him a PM.

I'll see if I can find a website for you.

    Here you go:

    http://www.gvdautos.com/prices.html

€150 per bumper going by their price list.

I remember Goz83 got them to do a full respray on a FTO that he had, and the pictures looked amazing.
Maybe he'll see this and chip in his two cents.

Hey OP. I was chimed to contribute here. The prices on the gvd website are a guide. If you have two bumpers to be done and if they are not on the car, I would expect the price to be a fair bit lower than that. I've been using GVD for a few years now and I am always surprised by how low the prices are. Maybe I get them at a particularly low price, as I am a regular enough customer, but a few of the guys from fto-ireland have also used GVD and they too have been very happy with the prices and the work. Drop my nick if you stop by and let us know how you get on.

That's not bad so, if they're getting picked up and collected. What about the skirts?
