Hey guys, I was just wondering if new speed cameras have been introduced on the N7 after Tallaght, just before Newlands Cross? Everyone slamms on the brakes in the exact same spot for the past two days.

    The spot is HERE
    Thanks.

Really? I take this road daily and most people 100 it :pac: Haven't seen anyone braking there.

There was a Garda with a speed gun a few weeks ago just after the bridge.

Maybe they are observing the speed limit?

The 60kph limit starts way back.

The van is fairly active but on the other 'outbound' side, both before and after the bridge in the roadworks.

I travel every day there, generally is just brake action of people panicking as they enter the bridge (The surface there was atrocious for a number of weeks and you have people panicking about their lane choice) or its traffic coming in at 100 - 80km/h, meeting someone observing the limit and causing a slow down. 80km/h is a perfectly acceptable limit there until you reach the M50/City merge, then a slow down is fine. I hope they don't leave it at 60 when its all said and done.

There's no fixed speed camera there, I can assure you.
