Paypal money in dollars

Not sure what forum to put this in, so apologies if misplaced!


I know the basics about the euro dropping in price but not really sure how to interpret the info, if anyone can help!
I have 1,500 dollars in my paypal account, should i transfer the money to my irish bank account now, since dollars is almost equal to euro so i'll get a good return (minus currency fees)?

OP, it's hard to tell whether the dollar will be able to buy even more euros any time soon. Maybe it'll hit parity and you'll end up with 100 euro more, but who knows.

In general though, you can buy more money with your dollars now than you could at any point in the last decade, so change it some time in the next few months at least.

try and avoid doing currency conversion through Paypal. they charge extra fees on top of the rate. works out about an extra 2.5%!
just checked converting $10,000 to Euro there and Paypal will give you €8,917 while xe.com quotes €9,152.13
