Keratosis Pilaris

Just wondering if anyone here has experienced keratosis Pilaris and can recommend any treatments for it? I've looked up some homemade exfoliators (coconut oil and sugars) which seem to have helped, but I'm wondering if anyone here can lend some tips/advice?

Both my mum and I have had really bad keratosis pilaris and tried far too many remedies!

This stuff from Eucerin is absolutely brilliant, it's quite thick and gloopy but really works to get rid of bumps and discolouration. If you use it every day for a week or two then regularly enough (every couple of days) it keeps KP under control.

I've heard the ingrown hair pads from Waxperts are also brilliant because they exfoliate and moisturise. I'm a big fan of dry body brushing and often I find fake tan can temporarily smooth the worst of the bumps (and hide discolouration!) but I cannot recommend the Eucerin cream enough, it made such a massive difference and even if I get out of the habit of using it, I know once I start again it genuinely works.

I have this too but have never tried to treat it. Will give that eucerin cream a go with summer and my wedding coming up. Would particularly like to clear it up on my arms.

I have it on my arms, too, fits, and that's where it's most annoying. I also have it on my hips and things, buy they're covered up all of the time, so I suppose I'm not as proactive at treating those areas.

NicsM, many thanks for the recommendation. I'll definitely pick some up and give it a go.

I also suffer from KP sadly however as you probably know its a genetic condition and you'll never fully get rid of it and all you can do is make sure you use moisturiser and also try chemical exfoliation which also helps for some people.
