    this really comes as no surprise does it? What a fantastic creature it was.

    It did surprise me a bit because I was under the impression that bite force studies had already been done on Leviathan (or whatever they spell it as nowadays), and I expected it to have a much stronger bite than Basilosaurus. But now I'm not even sure if the study was conducted at all, and looking at photos of the two beasts' skulls, I have to admit Basilosaurus looks a bit more formidable...
