upload speed consistently higher than download speed

    Hi folks,

    I moved from Tesco mobile to 3 today because of crap data speeds. And whilst the 3 data speeds are definitely much faster than tesco, a similar feature remains - download speeds are pretty much always less than upload speeds.

    And upload speeds are always more robust than download speeds. ie. If I am someplace with obstacles (ie. stairwell or in shadow of building), download speeds fall off way more than upload speeds.

    Is this unusual? Or is it totally normal?

    Phone is an iPhone 5 with latest updates installed.
