    Hello,

My test is this day 2 weeks in Westside, Galway. That's a Friday evening at 4.30pm!

Any advise on doing a test at this time of day on a Friday in Galway?

    Any suggestions on routes?

Also what would you advise to do over the next two weeks? I'm so so nervous....

Any advise/tips/suggestions would be very much appreciated, I'd love to pass first time :)

I did my test in this centre, my advice would be to ensure that the car you're using is reversed into a parking bay, ideally close to mcdonalds. That way you can pull out facing forwards and make your life much easier. Also, make sure you're well practiced turning left and right pulling out of the centre - when turning right it can be easy to cut over a hatched marking on the road which can catch you out.

Also make sure you do lots of pre-tests around the area - there's a nasty yellow box function just before a traffic light across the road from the test centre, both routes I did while doing my test ended on this section.

Apologies I'm not sure regarding traffic during that time - perhaps someone else here can help you with that.

The one piece of advice I would give is, be well used to driving up the Old Seamus Quirke road.

Like Craftylee has said there is a nasty yellow box junction there, also a set of pedestrian lights too all relatively close to one another. Be familiar with where to stop before the lights.

I failed my test there once as I was concentrating on the yellow box & completely ignored a pedestrian waiting at the crossing.

You will be taken around the Browne roundabout as well so get your bearings on it.

    Best of luck
