So was driving down st laurences road in clontarf this morn and 2 cars in front of me a car trys to reverse into a spot, they tried to whip it in and hit the taxi that was parked behind the spot pretty hard in the centre of their bumper, and drove off. I got the drive off guys licence plate but didnt have time to stop and see the parked guys also.

Anything can be done (or any point in doing) with that info?

Ring up the local garda station and give them the details. Hopefully the taxi driver will also have been in touch with them.
Speaking as someone this happened to, it caused me no end of grief when I couldn't find out who hit me.

Report it to the local garda station. Let them take it from there. You have done your piece and forget about it.

thats what I thought, they said they would send a car down and let the owner know. Bloody cheek of the drive off guy though..I guess probably no damage but youd never know

Fair play to you for getting the reg and reporting it. The hassle people go through when there are no witnesses is unbelievable, you may have saved a lot of hassle for that taxi driver.

I saw similar happen before. Reported to the guards and posted the reg of the parked car on here. I got a pm from a regular saying they knew the owner so I passed on the details.
