How long should I wait after a second interview

Had a second interview for a job recently but its been nearly a month since I've heard anything, how long should one wait before getting in contact?

I felt the interview went well, so I'm a bit baffled by the silence.

I'd move on if I was you. If they haven't got back to your probably not on their list but you can always ring and see what the story is with the job.

Would be forgetting about that. I would either make contact about a week after the interview or if they specified an amount of time then until after that but after a month it doesn't look good.

I once heard nothing after a second interview which had gone really well so was very confused when they didn't contact back, cue phone call 8 weeks later with a job offer !! (Turns out they were waiting for Garda clearance) But as I hadn't heard anything I'd moved on and taken an offer with another charity. I thought it was bizarre that they didn't just say yes pending clearance.

Definitely give them a shout. Did you not ask them for the next steps at the end of the 2nd interview, if not chalk it up to experience and remember to ask next time.

Good luck, hopefully it's being held up because of an internal issue but normally at this stage I would say the opportunity has been given to someone else.

I would get back in touch with them.

I know I did a 2nd round interview with a firm back in October and got a call about 2 weeks ago with a job offer, so you've a chance yet. Depending on what level you're at and the size sometimes affects it. Like if its a grad scheme with a large company they could have had literally hundreds in for 2nd stage interviews and that could be why they've not had a chance to get back to you.

Thanks for the replies. I was told I'd hear within a week. I sent an e-mail after that, but heard nothing still...radio silence.

At the very least I'd expect for the corporation to have the manners to let me know I was unsuccesful, especially after two interviews.

If they treat potential employees like that maybe you are better off not working for them.
