Renewing Polish passport in Dublin

    My Polish friend is renewing a Polish passport and has no ID at present. Her Polish ID, Social welfae card etc has been reported stolen.

    What will she need when applying for her passport in the Embassy in Dublin. I hear a witness must be present and if so what are the requirements for the witness. Do they have to have a certain legal status, Garda etc
    I have tried to find this on the embassy website but cannot find anything at all.

    This is an Irish website, mostly populated by Irish people, who have no experience of Polish passport application procedures. You may find it difficult to get an answer here.

    I would check with the Polish equivalent of the passport office.

    "Renewing" implies that she has a passport to renew, is this also lost/stolen?

    Ring the embassy. They can give you definite answers instead of strangers on the internet guessing.

    Thanks for the replies, but have you ever tried ring the Polish Embassy? Nightmare.
