So Ive been looking at a range rover TDV8 but Im wondering whats out there. Something with a low range box 3 litre + but I quite like the range rovers terrain response, it can be set pretty easily to allow you to drive over speed ramps at 50-60km/h without much discomfort.

Are there any other 2007/8 upwards 4x4's that have suspension similar to this. No interest in adjusting for sport firmness, just ripping over speed ramps without slowing down.

All Land Rovers basically above Freelander have this as standard unless 'Paddy Spec' Comm Discoveries.

The terrain response has nothing to do with suspension, it just adjust the torque, traction settings etc.

I think the LC3/4s etc in Landcruiser are also on air.

Most proper 4x4s have good suspension and would have bother hitting speed bumps 50-60mph.

Ripping over speed ramps without slowing down!!!
You do know the reason for speed ramps are to slow people down because of the obvious dangers that usually surround them (little 4yr old jonny playing ball and you hit him at at 60kph in your nice bulky truck)

Thought we'd be waiting a lot less than 24 hours for such a response!!!!

Speed bumps are not only in little Johnny's estate, likewise little Johnny should be under control. However, I'm not encouraging this activity I'm only discussing what certain 4x4s are capable of if the driver needed to take such action.

One should of course be very aware of his/ her surroundings and drive accordingly.

Replace the word speed bumps with potholes.

    The question should be phrased

"What 4x4 can impact potholes at high speed, without slowing down."

Take your eye off a child for literally a few seconds and they are gone like a bullet.

Perhaps instead of putting down more and more speed ramps and ridiculously slow speed limits, maybe parents should teach little Johnny that running out onto the road can seriously fúck you up

As probably the youngest person on my entire street, I'd love to know where Little Johnny lives, if he's the reason for the two speed bumps that cause the constant brake, thump, accelerate, brake, thump, accelerate cycle I have to listen to.

Neither is passable at the road speed limit (50), so if they want them to enforce the limit they built them wrong.

Neither is passable at any putative new speed limit for "housing estates", not that a single road could be claimed to be one, so they built them wrong for any level of claimed foresight either.
