Hi Guys, I was considering studying the Special Needs Assistant course fetac L5 & L6 with the Open College or Portobello. However, I notice that with alot of the online/distance learning courses that they offer only the Fetac Minor award as opposed to the major award. If I did the minor award, would I be still employable?…

Hi Guys,

I was considering studying the Special Needs Assistant course fetac L5 & L6 with the Open College or Portobello. However, I notice that with alot of the online/distance learning courses that they offer only the Fetac Minor award as opposed to the major award. If I did the minor award, would I be still employable? Any advice Thanks

Although a Major is not a legal requirement for a school (it is for a creche), you would be competing with so many who have the Major, I think a Minor wont be enough to get an interview.
