might be doing the A4, not sure yet. flat course with a drag at the end. well run by Seven Springs. will end in a bunch sprint... last year the bunch were sprawled across the road with 1k to go. itll suit a sprinter.
it'd be an ideal strong breakaway race but no one will commit if someone breaks.
weather was crap last year so the corners were deadly!

A very sketchy race. Probably the most nervy one i was ever in due to the amount who turned up for A4; 80+
And sure enough with 6k to go the comms pushed everyone back over the white line and a few went down. I couldn't get to the front to do anything but if i had i would have tried to stretch it out just to make it interesting... no one would roll through and anyone who broke, no one would go with them. A dour affair. The full width of the road was been used for 80% of the race. everyone fancied themself in a sprint.
it was a much better and faster race last year.
I heard the A3 race was as bad... a few breaks went but no one would work.

very well organised by Seven Springs with some nice food afterwards. and hey, the weather... brilliant! the white legs got their first outing

Yeah there was some pretty dodgy riding going on at times with fellas unable to hold a line and drifting all over the place.

It was possible to get up to the front if you wanted to - I managed it a good few times from the back but as usual a lot of people happy to take up the full width of the road and just sit there.

A good few people tried to go off the front, at one point 3 lads got a slight lead but then after the bunch looked at each other for a few seconds everyone followed the chaser to get back to them. The final drag got me. Was in a handy enough position going into it but with about 100m to go to reach the downhill section, my legs put up a little white flag and gave up the fight. I sat up then to see the sprint for the line and rolled over the finish.

I'd say the race was slower than last year because of the headwind. It was tough going on the back section and the tunnel was like a funnel (I'm a poet and I know it :) )

Kudos to you Richie attacking up the road at the most difficult part of the lap, not once , not twice, but three times, class!!

It was all about the photo opportunity :) that and after doing a warm-up lap there was a few holes and lumps around there so I wanted to get out front so I could see where I was going. Don't have the legs to attack just yet ;)
