Problem With Architect

    I recently engaged an architect. I unfortunately had him on a project and it was a nightmare. He picked the builder (a buddy of his) which didn't help things. In the end, we didn't get what we were contractually entitled to, we were totally over charged for the work, the architect didn't keep proper records, his actions caused us to miss out on significant grant funds and to top it all off he made sure that we did not have any retention money at the end of the project - and low and behold now that issues have arisen with the work both he and the builder are completely ignoring us. Does the RIAI have a complaints department for this type of cowboy behaviour?

    To answer your question...yes...the RIAI do deal with complaints on individual members. Give them a call.
