Frayed Wire coming from the Starter Motor

Car won't start (just empty clicking/crackling noise when I turn the key) so my brother had a look at it. He spotted a spark that appeared whenever I turned the key.

Turns out the wire coming from the started motor is frayed. Looks like it might have been cats who hid up there during the bad weather.

Tried patching it up, but no luck. What are my options? Car won't start so I can't bring it anywhere. Is there any DIY technique I can get done, just to get the car to a garage?

rats , it happend to me years a go

in some cars like audis / VAG some wire plastic is organice based and they like it .

you should be able to solder it together with another bit of wire , or even crimp it until you get to a garage .

    else push start it

As long as it doesn't have a dmf.
