Mullingar Hospital Evacuated Following ISIS threat

Thought it was a joke, but it isn't.

    http://www.irishmirror.ie/news/irish-news/crime/mullingar-hospital-evacuated-after-staff-5359101
The main building of St Loman's psychiatric hospital in Mullingar has been evacuated due to a bio-agent threat, allegedly from ISIS.
A member of the administrative staff at the hospital opened an item of mail addressed to 'Medical staff' which contained white power and a written threat which read 'ISIS is going to get you'.
As a result, Gardai have sealed off the main building - which houses just administrative staff.
The Army Bomb Disposal unit from Athlone arrived to the building at 5:30pm to examine and dispose of the powder.

Up to a dozen members of staff who were in the administrative area when the package was opened have been quarantined.

Hoax or real threat? I guess we'll soon find out.

"ISIS is going to get you". I'm pretty sure ISIS don't call themselves that or send cryptic notes from movie villains.

It's a psychiatric hospital. Pretty sure a former resident there is responsible.

Mmmm, a mental hospital in the Midlands of Ireland getting threats from ISIS, just think about that for a moment.

Probably less likely than Intel getting attacked by ISIS

I'd say the chances of ISIS knowing of the existence of a specific psychiatric hospital in Mullingar, or even of Mullingar itself, are about as slim as me winning the Euromillions on Friday night, especially as I haven't bought a ticket.

We all know that the wastelands of Mullingar are a breeding ground for Islamic Extremists.

If we don't nip this in the bud they could eventually spread outwards and be a threat to civilised society.

I'd say the Minister for Defence should request that The Royal Airforce drop cluster bombs all over Mullingar. Just to be sure.

    :pac:

    This is brilliant!!!

    *assuming it's a hoax though

Better include Tullamore and Athlone as well, just to be on the safe side.

The evacuation, as with most things there, is predicted to take several weeks with a possibility of delays and a large chance they evacuate the wrong building, leave something important inside and then deny all knowledge that an evacuation was needed or that anyone even sought an evacuation. There have been unconfirmed reports that some staff members were also seeking compensatory pay to ease the disruption and change of location. Administrative staff have declared themselves to only be subject to a lesser rate of evacuation than front-line staff.

Reminds me of the time al quaeda decided to cripple the world's economy by leaving anthrax outside the post office in castlepollard.
The reverberations were felt all the way to Collinstown where everyone decamped to, to drink a rake of pints.

This could be the work of JISM - Jihad in south Mullingar. They're an up and coming group.

They're a spent force now though - they exploded onto the revolutionary scene and then fizzled out.

JISM has the potential to really cause problems - the state is taking precautions, but the chance of it blowing something up is very high.

JISM are an asymmetrical threat. They can cum from all angles. They have the potential to infiltrate every man and woman in the State. They can ingrain themselves in the very fabric of our society and stain the very Earth we walk upon.

Commentators originally believed that they lacked the balls to mount an attack on Irish soil, but this latest thrust against the heart of the Midlands suggests that they may have more in reserve than was originally thought. :(

That's because the rest of the lads probably misread 'a lockdown' for 'a lockin'.

When the Jihad came to Ballymore he stole an armoured car, and he gave it to the IS brigade of Mullingar.
