Looking for a reasonably priced road bike for a starter in the cycling world, fame size 55 or 56, would prefer something with decent componets (105, Ultegra etc).

    Thanks

Thanks GiantRosa, I would be somewhat concerned with a six year old bike that it would end up costing me money to replace components.

I should of mentioned, the 105 components FD, RD and levers have less than a year's use and the older Ultegra chainset and brake calipers are working perfectly. Replacing chainrings or brake blocks would be the norm.

    Hi zindicato

I have a feeling your bike may be too expensive for me, as I am only starting out I decided to try and buy a second hand bike without having to make a big initial investment. I was hoping to find something for around €500 or less.

    Thanks

anyone selling anything local to Limerick, same size as the op 55-56 frame ?

I do have the bike to work scheme option available to me so price would have to be right for me to buy an SH bike

If the bike needs a few chain rings replaced thats ok if the price is right

Im not intersted as location doesn't suit, but a question, 19000km thats a lot of cycling, many new parts need to go into it in that time ?

chain and gears must be getting worn at this stage ?

Thinking of selling my Canyon Roadlite 6.0

Bought in March 2013. Approx 20,000km on it.

Frame is generally in good condition with general wear and tear items. Never raced. Never crashed. Regularly serviced (Approx 4 times in the last 12 months in the Bike Rack).

It came as a full 105 group set but the chainrings is now FSA (I thin need to double check). FD will need replacing but there is still plenty of life in it for the next couple 1000km

My strava profile tells me its closer to 18,900km

Would you consider a part ex and cash (to you) for a single speed? Steel frame raleigh with new components and wheels flip flop hub etc...?

Good stuff. I put one together to see what it was like for the commute.
I'm not sure how to do discuss thisand remain within the rules. Are we able to take this discussion off thread as I don't want to derail this wanted thread fir the OP.
Easentially the bike is an 80's Raleigh frame resprayed and new components added (handlebars are 44cm 2nd hand). The rear hub can run as a single speed (16 tooth) or can be flipped to a fixed gear (you can't free wheel like a track bike) .

Can I suggest that you make an offer in the original thread and go from there?

Hi aidanki, not really interested in the tiagra groupset , my preference is for a 105 or Ultegra.

Was at the LBS the other day just browsing to see how the bikes feel, really liked the feel of a Trek bike, just felt nice, there was a few giants there as well which were also nice but have to say the Trek just felt better for me personally.

    Thanks

This is the bike, frameset and components. No wheels and saddle would be different.
    Are you still interested?
