Simple job... need brake pads fitted (i got the pads online myself). The 'authorised' Renault/Nissan dealers were quoting madmoney for labour last year when I went to them, and it took em more than 2 hours to figure out how to change em!

    Cheers

you dont need a 'renault mechanic' to fit a set of pads. I also doubt it took them two hours to figure out how to do it, more likely they didnt have a spare mechanic or ramp for some of that time. Remember garages are rarely waiting on you to arrive to work on your car, you may be given a booking time but that dosent translate to anything more than spacing out the work throughout the day. Any independent garage or mechanic will be able to fit your pads. Where are you based?
