I replaced it about 2 years ago on my car and I think it's gone again. Do they go this fast? It's a 00D Opel Corsa 1.2litre. I don't do too many miles these days.
Not sure should I try replace it to see if it'll get the car starting again. It was fine then about 3 times it took longer then normal to start, turned over fine, just didn't even try to start for about 4 seconds then started fine.
Happened before like this about 2 years ago, now won't start at all.

Crank sensor won't stop the car from turning over.
It will stop it from starting tho so there is a difference so please explain a little better.
But it is possible for a sensor to go again after 2 years of course it is

It was the sensor, put a new one in 25euro , and it's going again. Cheap fix and nice to do it yourself.
