For Bangladesh the biggest game ever in their cricketing history....

For India it should be a walk in the park.... Or so you would think!!!

Surely India are not going to mess this one up??!!

Heavy rain forecast from 6 pm local time......

Should be a good match, upsets happen and Bangladesh have pushed them before, but India if they are on their game should have to much quality for them.

India will win for sure.. :D

Huge middle overs for India, with 2 down they can't afford to lose any wickets. Bat sensibly till 35th over mark before making anything silly.

no way thats a no ball. It's a wicket

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,693 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Really swung India's way the last while. Rohit catch at 90 but called a no ball could be the key

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,384 ✭✭✭booth70

Yeah ..... Rohit got away with that

    302/7

India made up some ground in the last 15 overs.....

If they can't defend 303 against the Bangers then India are better off going home tomoro !!!

The Rohit "no ball" was dire and it was huge, but Bangladesh fielding after that should be illegal, just horrid.

Massive ground this, India have bowled well so far and Dhoni loves defending these totals. Its going to need something special for Bangladesh to get this.

Rahane is so gun in tests, but so inconsistent in limited overs sadly.

I wouldn't be shocked if he does not perform before the end of the competition, they may just say "enough is enough" and bin him sadly.

That wicket was a 30 run swing IMHO. Get him out then and they don't take as full advantage of the PP as they did.

Story of the Iqbal career, some flashy shots and out for 20 or 30.

That was a truly horror innings from Kayes, although he has always been a massive flop internationally.

To be fair it was two sensational catches. Bangladesh just haven't caught a break today. You need a little bit of luck to win

They haven't batted to well though. The Keyes innings even for his incredibly low standards was horrible, Iqbal was slogging and the less said about Shakib the better. He is so much better than how he batted today.

India have been very good though, so don't want to take away to much either from them.

Meh, before the loss of the 3rd wicket they were starting to roll though. That would have been a good partnership if the catch (amazing catch, I'm going to watch the highlights just to see it again) hadn't stuck, along with 6 more runs.

They still would have needed more from the experienced players, and no cert that Sarkar was going to go big either as he has shown nothing in his career to suggest it was a cert he would go big.

Mental that Nasir is now a number 8 these days, much better than that surely?

It was always going to be a bridge too far once they decided to not even bother trying to cut off singles half-way through the match! And sure he's a pretty handy guy to have in at number 8! If they can keep this together for the next 10 or so overs 250 is on the cards.

Based on what I've seen though, India ain't winning this World Cup.

They never really had much of a chance with such a chase, huge target, tough ground and a pretty canny bowling attack.

Yeah the Banglas simply have not shown enough heart, allowed Rohit and Raina to build a partnership which took the game away from them.

No issue with them sticking Nasir at 8, I do remember rating him hugely a few years ago when he batted much higher but his batting has gone to the dogs thus his current position.

It wouldn't have made much of a difference where he batted today anyhow, seems to have morphed into an all rounder anyhow.:)

Well that was as clinical as you get these days.

Dhoni like he does so well in limited overs was awesome today, choked the life out of Bangladesh.

The Rohit incident hurt Bangladesh, but to be fair its not the first wrong call ever and it was poor they somewhat gave up when India were batting after that.

Its been a good competition though for them, they may have found some good fast bowlers, Taskin looks fantastic. The loss of Animul Haque was huge in the end, quality opener which meant they were needed more from the likes of Iqbal and Kayes. Not to be.

India will be tough to stop, don't seem to many weaknesses really, maybe Rahane? Kohli I still back to have a monster knock before its all over, to good not to fire.

Everything else is cracking, thee batting is strong, bowling is good, fielding is sharp and Dhoni has been a boss as usual with the captaincy.

Pakistan or Australia next, either will be epic matches.:)

Bowling was very good but I was worried about our batting when it was 35 overs. We scored around 120 and that was simply not enough. Only hope was Rohit Sharma as he always scores quick and covers up the dot balls.

Still I would pick India behind Aussies, NZ, South Africa when it comes to Favorites.

One big weakness in this team is lack of genuine allrounder.

It's going to be an India v South Africa final on the 29th ..... with India to win the whole damn thing

Not sure we can beat Aussies. They have perfect team with no weakness at all. With Watson coming down the order they have dangerous players in the final overs.

Also Starc is having time of his life.

    New Zealand may disagree:p

The Aussie side in 2007 were as close to invincible as you could get. This one?

Its very strong and yeah on paper they are the best side about, but they can be beaten, its going to need a quality performance to knock them out obviously, but they are no certs.

Yeah they are beatable but IMO very close to perfect team. NZ game was one off and still they were just 1 wicket away from victory. In 1 of game anything can happen but they are favorites. They lack quality spinner though.
