I remember my father when I was young milking 60 cows/50beef with one labour unit buying land and renting pretty cheeply (high interest tho). Now I was on the road yesterday and I saw a good few lads spreading slurry/fertilliser. Just got me wondering with guys with 100+ cows on theyre own paying high rents and land for 10k an acre. I honestly believe farming is harder than in the past, what ye think lads/ladies?

The most difficult bit now is filling out all the bloody paperwork before you can actually do anything.
