So I' singing off on a PCP today for a new car...

Is there anything I should be asking for in the dealership before I sign (full tank of fuel etc)?

    :P

You will do well to get a full tank of fuel unless you have pre negotiated... the most i've ever gotten was about 20 euro worth of fuel in the tank

There's a list floating around I'm sure and he will probably go through the whole car with you anyway.. but check obvious things like paint work imperfections and that the car matches the spec you ordered..

Also check the mileage on the car to make sure its close to 0...

A lot of dealers will throw in car mats with new cars.. so if you have asked make sure they are there.. and that they are the genuine ones and not 3rd party.. the 3rd party ones never fit as well

I signed off on a car yesterday - collecting today.

Negotiated a full tank of fuel, yrs tax, proper car mats, money off paint/interior protection, and after we had already agreed a price , i played one dealer off against the other and got another discount on price.

If you don't ask, you don't get! Don't be rude but nothing wrong with a bit of cheeky bartering. Good luck.

    I'm so annoyed!!!

So the guy looking after my application has completely messed up my finance! He applied with a company on Monday and I was approved. He then informed me that that was in fact the wrong company and applied for credit with the second company yesterday. Of course, they rejected it. I'm sure more than one credit request per week would be denied by and credit company.

I'm at a complete loss now...I really didn't want to get my car fixed as it's not worth is but this eejit is after affecting my credit rating (which was spotless!) for the foreseeable future!
