    ive read somewhere on here that there was a Transitional Allowance of £2000...what is this and does it still exist, or are there any other special allowance add-ons to your salary?

    It is still in effect and it is £3132 on top of your salary, couple of hundred quid extra a month it's effectivley "danger money" There are no other add-ons for new officers.
