Media player to play streaming media

I'm using VLC at the moment on my Android phone to play streaming media and it works perfectly (i.e. I can watch the stream flawlessly). Anyone know of a player that does?

The background: I can stream live TV and recorded TV from my Enigma2 satellite/terrestrial receiver. When I use VLC on my Windows PC, I can fast fwd and rewind and jump no problem. On Android it doesn't work
