Having purchased my return ticket with Wow Air Dublin to Keflavik for sunday flight in August am interested to see flights are operated by Atlantic Airways, national carrier of the Faroe Islands on the email. Has anyone experience of flying with them, or know much about their fleet etc. Just curious as was surprised to see it.

This page and the other links should show you their aircraft:

This page should tell you their history:

WOW leased an Atlantic A319 last year to help with the Summer volumes, presumably the same this year again.

Any airline that can fly in and out of foggy, blustery, rainy Vagar is pretty competent:

Quite a catch for you, not many people can say they've flown on Atlantic!

An airline by all reports that is highly recommended.

I can highly recommend them. I've been up the the faroes a few times. If you like lots of up/down/sideways movement on approach while in a valley, this is the place for you! One negative comment is that because they are the only airline flying there, the price reflects no competition.

I flew Billund-Vagar-Copenhagen a few years back in an Atlantic BAe 146, think that was all they could operate at the time due to the runway length at Vagar.

Experience was all positive and definitely an interesting approach to the Faroes. Enjoy Iceland, awesome place!

I've heard that it's all a ruse to abduct naive travellers and 'render' them away to the Faroe Islands to help rescue their declining population. Apparently there are only three men left to 'handle' 49,466 strapping Nordic blondes.

The fact they fly in & out of Vagar every day Id trust these over anyone else!

I've flown with them umpteen times. Skilled pilots no doubt. The weather landing there is quite often pretty poor. Gusty / fog/ rain /snow etc.
Edit : not to mention they are generous with the food and drinks.

So, considering it has been several days since I asked to to explain this comment slightly more and you haven't bothered I guess we can just totally ignore it.

It might be a bit hard for them to reply as they appear to be banned. ;)
I'd say they were just trolling, probably never heard of Atlantic Airways.
