Flying into Paris at 6:15am, got a flight to dublin at 21:40. Not a connecting flight, 2 seperate bookings. Would it be possible to leave Charles De Gualle and make a trip into Paris to see the sights?

Also would it be possible to leave our suitcases at CDG when we go into the city?

Totally doable provided there are no delays.

Clearing immigration and baggage- 45 mins

Train to Paris centre - 45 mins

From here you can see the Eiffel tower, stroll the champs and even fit in a croissant I reckon. Aim to leave the city by 4pm to avoid commuter crush.

Dunno about baggage at CDG though. Maybe you can have already checked in for your onwards flight?

I have done this before. Bags were checked through but I didn't find anywhere to leave my hand luggage. You'll need to get a decent sleep on the first flight to not be exhausted in Paris.

Plenty of time to do and see loads in Paris,I go over regularly with work, and most of the time have a few hours to spare
The Metro is your friend here, plenty to see but dont mind the Eiffel tower, go see a cemetery called Pere Lachaise, you won't be disappointed

Bagage du MOnde operate a left luggage system in CDG terminal 2 (near the train/RER station). It's a good idea to head into PAris as that amount of time in an airport terminal would be hell, even if you had lounge access.

Depeding on the time of year, it is fairly easy to buy on the spot Tour Eiffel tickets without prebooking but only early in the morning. The recently opened glass floors have rocketed up the attendances again. If you're confident in your timings, you could make an online booking to avoid the queues. It's an enjoyable sight but you do spend periods of time crushed with other people in lifts etc. If you tend to be grumpy, claustrophobic etc after long flights, you might better choose alternative sights. Walking around Paris is fun as is sitting downs and watching the world go by.

I would not give any consideration to leaving the city at 4pm for a 9pm flight, that would simply be madness. Provided you already have your onward boarding passes, 6:30 for a fast RER should be more than enough time. Check in advance and ont he day to make sure that there are no industrial actions which might disrupt your journeys.

We will be flying in on a Malaysian airlines flight from kuala lumper so about 12 hours or so. Would it be better to book a hotel near the Eiffel tower or at the airport somewhere and stay a night and fly to dublin the day after instead. It will be around the 18th of December.

Up to you, but if all you want to do is see the Eiffel Tower, then the 15 hour window is more than enough. Indeed if you spent an hour at the tower (which is plenty) you'll still have time to fit in some of the other less overrated sights of Paris. There is no need to go to the expense of a hotel for it, and a hotel near Eiffel will be pricey.

But if money and time aren't factors, then by all means go for it!

What? Nearly six hours before the flight? Utter madness.

Time enough heading back out to the airport just before 19.00 for a short haul flight at 21.40. The commuter crush will be over by then and you could be having a nice meal in comfort somewhere.

The RER from Notre Dame takes just over 40 mins so you'd have two hours at the airport before departure.

    Loads of time.

Ive flown to Paris and back the same day and had plenty of time to see the best sights.
The batobus is a nice leisurely way to travel in Paris.

Pardon my French😀 but would it be possible to fit in euro Disney in the same day or would we need to stay overnight to fit it in?

It's possible to fit it in yes, but you couldn't spend too long. By the time you get onto the metro to Paris it may be 7AM, and then you have to connect somewhere, so you may not get there before 8 or 9AM. Then you have to come back. The metro there is always packed.
