Nissan Leaf Trade In Value

    A theoretical question

It's 2018 and I am looking to trade in my 2015 Nissan leaf to buy the next generation model (more than likely more range for your buck).

I bought for 23K (XE spec) and it has now 45K miles on the clock.

I bought on PCP and want to continue on the PCP arrangement

What do you think the trade in value of my leaf would be.

There is alot of unknowns I suppose and some dealers I've talked to fudge the question.

    Any thoughts

The dealer would set up your GMFV and monthly payments in such way that it would be perfectly OK for you to continue on the PCP. This way they have you as a customer every 3 years, the money lender gets his share and Nissan are getting the sales they need yo keep up.
As for how much would your car really worth... this is really subjective as it all depends on how you have taken care of your vehicle. I bought my ICE 28 months a go for €5.2К and after 27k miles I have now sold it for €5.5...

So it is difficult to say

Remember that you're not tied to any one car brand or dealer, at the end of your contract you can do what you want, go where you want, buy what you want.

The GFV is set as 11500 Euro's after 3 years and 75K Kms, now I doubt they will care about 5-10 K over, certainly not 5 K.

As long as there is reasonable wear and tear you should get the GFV, you can also go to any dealer and they might give you a higher trade in value than the GFV and that's money in your pocket towards the deposit on the new car.

It's highly likely Leaf II will have the same range for less and more range for more money, though a lot will depend on the competition at the time.

This is an old thread but the topic is exactly what I was looking for.

Anyone traded in a 40kWh Leaf or been quoted on what you might get for it?
And/or, has anyone sold a 40kWh Leaf privately?

Do you have one and what's you're reason for selling if you don't mind me asking ?

If you want a laugh I had my 192 SVE 40kwh leaf valued for trade in now the model 3 is coming.....

Tesla - €24.5k (trade in for Model 3)
    BMW - €27.3k (Trade in for I3)
    Nissan dealer 1 - €26.4k (straight sale)
    Nissan dealer 2 - €25.5k (straight sale)

I have one and am thinking of trading to a 64kWh next year. Really happy with it. Once every few months we do a long trip that requires charging once or twice (North Kildare to West Mayo). Can complicate things a bit so an extra 100km or more in range would make a big difference. If you have two cars (one ICE), it's a different calculation.

Very interesting trade-in quotes there. Fair bit of variation but they must be confident of reselling.

Last time I traded in it was a diesel and the garage offered very, very little and told me to sell it myself because it wasn't worth the hassle to them.
