Inplay stats

I trawled to net to find a decent database of inplay stats but to no avail so I have started collecting my own spread sheet of them. Have about 1000 or so now from league 1 & 2 games ( I figured the top 2 flights would offer no value as the markets are so sharp on betfair )
Is 1000 a sufficient number to start playing around with. Basically what I have are stats for HT and stats up to 70 mins with a view to looking to lay or back the current score if I can highlight any trends in the data and spot value in the market.
Any one got any thoughts on this approach?
In my betting carreer I think I have reached stage 4 where I have realised that there is no easy off the shelf money printing method. This approach is damm time consuming as you are on line for hours on end.

I can't register on the RBallDB site, keeps telling me the captcha I enter is wrong. And of course I can't contact them as I have to enter a captcha when I'm trying to tell them there is a problem with the captcha security :(
